CARANA, collaborating with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), identified innovative ways to help Turkish companies build business partnerships in the US and become more competitive by understanding and emulating best practices.

The project prepared a series of market perception reports based on surveys with leading firms and business associations in five sectors (automotive, software development, marble, furniture, and lighting) along with intelligence from international players doing business in Turkey. The project introduced these studies at public information sessions as well as government briefings in five regional hubs hosted by USAID, the US Embassy, and TOBB.

CARANA also circulated information on trade issues through the internet and direct responses to requests and published a guide in Turkish for prospective entrants into the US market, distributed through TOBB.
