Wealth Creation Framework Agreement–DFID

CARANA is a resource partner to GRM and KPMG for the Wealth Creation Framework Agreement (WCFA) funded by DFID. The WCFA is a mechanism through which DFID implements programs that target wealth creation and poverty reduction by empowering girls and women, fighting and coping with climate change, aiding in recovery from conflict and natural disasters, and providing greater transparency and more use of evidence and independent evaluation. The framework agreement for Wealth Creation services is a multiple supplier framework designed to enable the procurement of technical assistance for components of DFID bilateral programs. The geographic scope of the WCFA is global and includes the 28 priority countries in Asia and Africa in which DFID has a bilateral program.

Evaluation and Performance Monitoring Services Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity

CARANA is a member of the AMEX International consortium for the USAID Evaluation and Performance Monitoring Services IDIQ. This contract vehicle will be used by the Bureau of Policy, Planning and Learning over five years to procure a full range of technical and advisory services to USAID Missions and bureaus worldwide including: performance and impact evaluations, evaluation and performance monitoring capacity building, synthesis of performance monitoring and evaluation lessons learned, and analysis of policy implications and performance monitoring activities. While task orders under this IDIQ will cover the full range of USAID program areas (e.g., Democracy and Governance, Health, Education, Agriculture), CARANA's specific role within this consortium is to provide subject matter and M&E expertise in the areas of Agriculture and Food Security, and Economic Growth and Trade.

Public Financial Management (PFM) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity

CARANA is a member of the Crown Agents USA consortium for the Public Financial Management Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC). The IQC is a broad-based, multi-faceted, mechanism to empower USAID missions to engage in public financial management reforms and other economic policy and institutional reform/modernization projects by enabling USAID to procure short- and long-term services through a structured and easy-to-use procurement system; to accumulate the intellectual and technical resources necessary to better understand, and thereby help overcome, economic policy and institutional constraints to economic growth; and to advance state-of-the-art practices within the international donor community by making useful contributions to development theory and practice. CARANA’s collaboration is premised on our ability to provide short-, medium-, or long-term expatriate and national expertise in financial markets and institutions, economic analysis and design of regulatory policy, poverty analysis, trade policy, and financial controls and auditing among other disciplines.

Restoring the Environment through Prosperity, Livelihoods, and Conserving Ecosystems (REPLACE) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity

CARANA Corporation is a member of the Engility consortium for the REPLACE Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract (IDIQ). The IDIQ aims to improve sustainable natural resource management through a three-pronged integrated approach: the Nature, Wealth and Power (NWP) approach. By simultaneously addressing the environment, governance and economic growth, USAID will address the issues of different stakeholders, including women and marginalized groups. Collaborative partnerships across the NWP components will help to ensure the long-term sustainability of initiatives to improve natural resource management. CARANA’s expertise in sustainable agriculture and forestry, ecotourism, enterprise development, policy reform, and access to finance cut across targeted themes, building upon our commitment to empower local partners and ensure the long-term sustainability.

Youth Power Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity

CARANA is a member of the Creative Associates International consortium for the Youth Power Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract (IDIQ). The IDIQ enables USAID to rapidly solicit bids from six selected consortiums for initiatives explicitly designed to empower youth and enable them to facilitate positive change in their communities. With an emphasis on youth engagement, USAID seeks to improve the capacity of local partners and stakeholders to ensure sustainable and productive youth development programming, while encouraging implementers to develop innovative approaches to engage youth in community discourse and development. Contracts under this IDIQ will cover a variety of interventions, ranging from violence prevention and engagement of at-risk youth, to education and workforce development. CARANA’s collaboration is primarily based on our market-driven approach to both higher education and workforce development programming, expertise in enterprise development and entrepreneurship, ability to address cross-cutting issues, and our emphasis on long-term sustainability and scalability.
