Various Technical Positions Kosovo

CARANA seeks various Technical Specialists for the anticipated USAID-funded EMPOWER Project in Kosovo.  The goal of the project is to increase competitiveness and employment. The project includes an integrated approach that seeks to address long term prospects of sustainable economic development, while also addressing immediate need for jobs through targeted interventions. The project will establish a local credit facility to systemically and sustainably serve the credit needs of Kosovo’s economic expansion well into the future and support viable businesses with solid expansion plans or new undertakings to access that credit for long-term growth.  The project will also focus on immediate job creation to address the current critical need and eventually lay the ground work for productive economic discourse to assist Kosovo in the mind set transition to a competitive, free-market economy.

•    Banking and Finance Specialists
•    Business Development Specialists
•    Private Sector Development Specialists
•    SME Development Specialists
•    Workforce Development Specialists
•    Legal and Regulatory Experts
•    Monitoring and Evaluation Specialists
•    Youth and Gender Experts

Qualifications:
•    Advanced degree in relevant field with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the specific technical area listed above.  
•    Experience working in Kosovo, implementing national and provincial programs.  
•    Previous experience developing credit facilities, public finance management or banking
•    Previous experience developing workforce programs linking private and public sector needs and job creation that incorporate youth, women   and marginalized groups
•    Strong written and verbal communications skills.
•    Fluency in English; Albanian or Serbian preferred
•    Preference will be given to Kosovar nationals
