CARANA to partner with SSG Advisors in multiple award contract

CARANA is pleased to announce that we are a subcontractor to SSG Advisors on the recently awarded Human and Institutional Capacity Development for Critical Priority Countries (HICDPro for CPCs) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) for small businesses. CARANA will provide Human Performance Technology/Human Performance Improvement-certified subject matter experts and overall technical expertise in economic growth and private sector development to the consortium. CPCs for this IDIQ will include South Sudan, Pakistan, Yemen, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

HICD initiatives are an important component of USAID’s overall effort to strengthen partner country capacity, increase use of reliable partner country systems and institutions, and strengthen local civil society and private sector capacity to improve aid effectiveness and sustainability. The increased use of host country systems is contingent upon strong, accountable, and reliable host country institutions. HICD supports the ability of government, civil society, and private sector organizations to utilize, maintain, and build on new technologies and skills brought upon by USAID or other development donors.

HICD is a USAID model of structured and integrated processes designed to identify root causes of performance gaps in host country partner institutions. HICD addresses those gaps through a wide array of solutions in the context of all human performance factors and enables cyclical processes of performance improvement through the establishment of performance monitoring and management systems. In order to achieve sustainability in its programs, USAID will increasingly focus its development assistance efforts on strengthening the abilities of its host country partner organizations and the systems in which they work.
