CARANA showcases projects at the 2013 World Bank Youth Summit

On October 23, CARANA attended the 2013 Youth Summit hosted by The World Bank Group and championed by the Junior Professional Associates (JPA) Program. The event focused on themes of cultivating youth entrepreneurship, promoting innovation, and improving global youth unemployment. The conference held several panels with leaders from the development community to discuss solutions to current challenges and ideas for creating opportunities for youth employment and job creation. The panels addressed three main focus areas through their discussions: youth employment, education, and millennial communications. The third, millennial communications, involves using social media and technology for development. CARANA showcased its work in these three focus areas, most notably through the El Salvador Improving Access to Employment program, which uses social media as an outreach tool to attract youths to training programs organized by the project.
