The Improving Access to Employment Program is El Salvador’s leading NGO social media guru

USAID/El Salvador’s Improving Access to Employment Program tops the charts as it is named the #1 NGO Facebook Fan Page in El Salvador. This title comes after the latest study by prestigious La Prensa Gráfica (owned by firm Grupo Dutriz), one of El Salvador’s most read daily news publications. The study ranked the top ‘liked’ or ‘followed’ pages on the popular social media sites, Facebook and Twitter, in a variety of categories. The Improving Access to Employment Program has been a consistent leader in using social media to draw recognition, share information, and rapidly respond to those interested in the program’s work. The program joined Facebook in 2010 and at the beginning of 2012 had a mere 113 subscriptions, or ‘likes.’ Halfway through the year, the number of ‘likes’ jumped to over 13,000 due to the program’s online interaction with beneficiaries. Today, Improving Access to Employment has become one of the most successful social media campaigns executed by a USAID program with over 64,300 subscribers.

This year, the Improving Access to Employment Program gained over 64,000 subscriptions, making it the #1 NGO Facebook Fan Page in El Salvador. This year, the Improving Access to Employment Program gained over 64,000 subscriptions, making it the #1 NGO Facebook Fan Page in El Salvador.
