El Diario de Hoy on USAID's youth workforce development success in El Salvador

El Diario de Hoy, a leading newspaper in El Salvador, recently published a feature on how USAID’s Program to Improve Access to Employment (managed by CARANA) enables at-risk youth to find their first formal job. Through compelling personal stories, the article shows how USAID’s Program is transforming the national labor market via a job-training model for professional and vocational institutions and allied employers.

The Program has scaled back its financial participation to 4%, allowing the model to continue working once its operations come to an end.

Dive into the feature (in Spanish) below and learn more about the Program’s work with youth, including Margarita Orozco and Iris Margarita Pineda, now working as a cashier and in sales.
