| Salvadoran software alliance will train young programmers |
|
The alliance, which includes the Specialized Franciscan Superior School (ESFE-AGAPE), a nonprofit training association, will build on this initiative, identifying new opportunities to generate jobs by developing El Salvador’s software sector, a sector that offers quality job opportunities and contributes to national economic growth. Improving Access to Employment, managed by CARANA,strengthens the links between employers and training providers, in part by aligning trainings with specific job requirements. Earlier this year, it identified software training and certification as a key to meeting the growing demand for programmers. The alliance represents a private commitment to a labor integration program for software specialists, including job training and the creation of employment opportunities. Improving Access to Employment determines specific occupational profiles for available jobs in several emerging industries in El Salvador. The software alliance will create new educational options and certification to help place people in better job positions. Published December 2010
